“Kex” is an Icelandic word for biscuit. Kristinn Vilbergsson and Dagur Sigudsson created a stylish youth hostel in the abandoned biscuit factory. All the furniture and decor pieces are salvaged materials and found objects from various places in Iceland and abroad. KEX is an organic concept blending a vintage industrial feel with an eclectic, contemporary touch. |

The interiors are truly old-school made by the local film setting designer. The spaciousness of the factory allowed him to create something more than just a place where you can spend a night. It is a social hostel which also serves as a venue for small concerts and other lively happenings with a lounge, bar, gym, outside patio and a lot of space to hang out in a distinctive and cozy atmosphere. |
